“Survivor” sees lowest ratings ever

SurvivorThe bad news? “Survivor: Fiji” premiered with the lowest ratings EVER for a “Survivor” premiere on Thursday. The reality tv giant garnered 16.7 million viewers, whereas last fall the show premiered with 17.7 million viewers. This doesn’t sound particularly good. However, the good news is that “Survivor” DID out-rate both “Ugly Betty” and “The Office”. Considering the monumental competition on Thursday nights, Survivor did pretty good. An article at Media Life reported that “remains a top show for CBS in the demo, and no other reality show has demonstrated such impressive staying power for so long.â€? So don’t weep for “Survivor” quite yet.
