Stand Up To Cancer

I know it isn’t a typical reality show, but I figure Stand Up To Cancer is such and important cause that I should write about it. I should also say this is a completely different type of post than I usually write but I feel the subject makes it more than post worthy. Plus this topic is very close to me. Tonight ABC, CBS and NBC will air Stand Up To Cancer at 8PM EST. This is a star studded event to raise funds for cancer research. Some of the A-list stars who are lending their star power for this historic unprecedented even are Jennifer Aniston, Hillary Swank, Christina Appelgate and many more. If you have been listening to the radio, then you know that the song Just Stand Up has been released by a variety of musicians including Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Rhianna and many more. All the stars on this song will take the stage tonight to perform the song as one. I have heard the song and it is great, so to see all the artists come together to perform it will be amazing. An event like this brings so much awareness to cancer, how can you not watch and support it. I think an event like this is long overdue. If you think about it at some point in our lives each person will know someone who not only has cancer, but unfortunately most of us will lose someone close to us to cancer. That is one scary thought. I know I have 3 people in my life I have lost to various types of cancer and I am only in my early 30’s. That being said I suggest that everyone take an hour out of your life to watch this event. You all know I am all about the DVR, I love my DVR, but this is one event I plan on watching live.
