Spike TV’s new “Murder” mystery
It’s such a simple, genius idea, that I have to wonder why they didn’t think of it sooner. Bunim-Murray (the folks behind MTV’s “The Real World”) have developed a new reality tv show for Spike TV called, “Murder”. Think “CSI” for the reality-tv set. Contestants on the show will try to solve the actual homicide that has been re-created for them based on evidence, a crime scene investigation and even an interview with the actual coroner who covered the case initially. They have 48 hours to complete their investigation before having to present their findings to Detective Tommy Le Noir (his real name! How cool is that!). They will then find out what actually happened and the group whose investigation was closest to being the correct will win. What do they win? A donation made in their names to a selected victim’s charity. Now tell me you don’t think that sounds like a pretty darned cool show. I think I could potentially enjoy this show a lot more than I do shows like “CSI” and “Law and Order”. I’ve never been a big fan of crime drama, but I think this sounds very interesting. Expect to see this one hit your small screen this summer. I’ll let you know a specific premiere date when I find out.
