Some Reality Tid Bits
I have some Reality Tid Bits for you. I hope you enjoy them.
Oxygen is finally getting into the lifestyle reality genre. Coolio, who you all know as one of the most popular hip hop artists, is getting his own series Coolio Rules. The show will follows the musician from life on the road to managing his four teenagers. Currently the show is slated for six one-hour episodes that will begin Oct 28th at 10PM EST. I am sure there will be more to come on this show.
The Food Network will premiere The Chef Jeff Project on Sunday October 12th at 10PM EST. This is a new type of cooking show for Food Network. Jeff Henderson, a former prison inmate now executive chef, will take six troubled young adults and teach them how to cook while they help him run his new Los Angeles catering company. Each episode essentially follows Jeff as he teaches these young adults the ins and outs of food and life skills. I think this is a great idea for a show, and it has definitely grabbed my attention.
Bravo is still trying to capitalize on the success of their hit show The Real Housewives of Orange County. The network is going to develop a new docu-soap version using real 18-25 year olds from Orange County. Production is slated for this fall. Someone might want to tell Bravo this has already been done with Laguna Beach and The O.C. Just my opinion.
Chef Gordon Ramsey and Fox have reached a renewal agreement. That means viewers will be getting more Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Apparently the renewal also gives Gordon the chance to host a cooking special sometime during the season. That is definitely good news for all.
Discovery Channel will debut its new series Toughest Races on Earth: Iditarod on October 14th at 10PM.
Until next time.
