by

MTV and American Idol judge Paula Abdul are teaming up for RAH! Paula Abdul’s Cheerleading Bowl. Tomorrow, Saturday January 3rd at 12PM EST,cheerleading squads from the University of Arizona, University of Hawaii, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, University of Montana, and the University of Miami at Ohio will take it to the mat for a chance to be in American Cheerleading Magazine and a trip to MTV Spring Break 2009. The squads were hand picked by Abdul and will travel to New York for the ultimate Cheerleading competition. Each squad will be judged on their physical endurance as well as their dance ability. This special will offer viewers a first hand look at the unique mix of athletics and choreography that goes into each cheerleading routine. Viewers will also see just how much these five squads put on the line to be amazing competitors. Abdul will serves as both host for the show and coach to the teams. Since Abdul herself is a legendary choreographer/dancer and was a part of one of the greatest cheerleading squads in the U.S. these fives squads are in for some hard work and some amazing insight to the world of cheerleading. Now it wouldn’t be a competition without some challenges, and these challenges will be in distinct MTV style. You will have to tune in to the 90-minute special tomorrow to find out exactly what I mean by that comment. The judges for the show are Hi-Hat, choreographer for Bring It On and Step It Up 2; Scott Bouchard, head coach for UMass Dartmouth; and Brenna Klinger, dancer for the New Jersey Nets. Ok so don’t forget to tune into tomorrow for Paula Abdul’s RAH! Cheerleading Bowl competition only on MTV. Below please find a preview clip, which is also kind of a spoiler for those looking for the top two squads. Enjoy.
