Rob and Big

First comes love, then comes marriage, then…..

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

robandbig.jpgWhen I first signed up to write about reality television, I didn’t know that it was going to be this strange. A few hours of the stuff and a person really starts to notice the not so nice characteristics of musicians and television celebrities they grew up with.

Rock Of Love 2
Take in case Bret. After watching a couple of hours of Rock of Love 2, I’m beginning to wonder if Bret has always been a skirt chasing, sexual overdrive male? The two oldest women on Rock of Love 2 were voted off.

I can understand that even after Katherine made Bret breakfast in bed they still didn’t get to know each other but I really was rooting for Peyton. Sure she looked like a hard core Biker Mama but she just seemed down to earth.

I do have to give Kudos to Jessica for going up against Big John. The man looks really scary and then to find out that he was in the military. Jessica was the G.I. Mama for the day when she took out all four targets even when Bret was taken out on the paint ball field.

It looks like next week is going to be full of fights and drama. Is one of Bret’s girls pulling a Buddha? Are they on the show simply for their career? Now, I hate playing Devil’s Advocate but isn’t Bret on the show for his career?

My Fair Brady
First of all I have to say that the nVIDIA display of Adrianne was amazing. The graphic display looked like here and walked like her. Thankfully it doesn’t talk or burps like her.

Then Christopher goes and makes a statement that I’m sure caused a few people to flinch. On the My Fair Brady he says “He wants to have kids because he’s bored with himself.?
That’s not why a person has kids. I can see the train wreck now.

Obviously Christopher really wants to have kids. Adrianne is sobbing on the floor. Chris is begging and pleading about children. It’s a really crazy and intense moment for Chris, Adrianne and viewers alike. It’s such a sad sight this week on My Fair Brady.

Sacred Geometry
It looks like Rob & Big have been going through some hard times in life. I tuned into MTV to find Rob being persuaded by Harry The Healer and his bag of Sacred Geometry.

What exactly is Sacred Geometry? From what I understand it’s Geometrical patterns that can be found in space, time, and form. Apparently Rob & Big really were reaching for something because Rob fell for the belief headfirst.

Come on Big be a friend and pull your buddy out of it.

Sobe Life Water
Last but not least I want to take a quick look at Sobe Life Water Superbowl commercial. Yes it’s the stuff being advertised to viewers watching reality television. I just have to wonder if the advertising guys and gals over at Sobe were actually thinking about their product.

Here’s the commercial:
A lizard rushes up to get a sip of the new Sobe Life Water. His eyes change into something evil and then several supposed zombified lizards and one grasshopper prance around doing thriller.

This is Sobe LIFE Water that we are talking about here right? Why would a company want to represent its product with an ideal of zombie lizards? Isn’t Sobe Life Water created to bring your body life needed vitamins and keep it alive? I think I made my point.

Sure the dancing lizards are cute and cool but the concept is definitely wrong.

That’s my rant for the day. I hope you’ll check back tomorrow for more reality television fun. There sure is a lot out there to watch so enjoy!

Rob and Big love….

robdyrdeck.jpgI hope they love me even after my goof up. Just when I came down with a nasty cronic cold Rob & Big announced it’s open call. It’s an open call for shirt design submission from the fans of MTV’s celebrated show.

The theme for design submissions was “Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend” Fans get to vote on the coolest designs and the winner gets armful of wicked stuff.

I checked back at Rob & Big’s site and it doesn’t look like a winner has been chosen yet. So you can definitely get your vote in for your favorite.

There are some funky and fresh designs at Threadless T-Shirts. When your there check out “To the rescue” featuring our favorite dog from the show, skateboard and all!

Talk to the Herpie !?! (Rob and Big)

robandbig2.jpg

It’s another week of Rob’s life on Rob and Big. They head off to a bar that has been turtle racing for over 30 years. If you’re up for a little Turtle racing yourself check out Brennan’s in Los Angeles, California.

Rob and Big’s turtle was beat down hard by another racing turtle and now they are on a quest to find the fastest around. After talking to a herpetologist they head out and find a wild turtle that just wants to run. No a herpetologist isn’t someone who studies Herpes. A herpetologist is someone who studies reptiles and amphibians.

That poor turtle just wants to get back to the lake that it takes one nose-dive down the banister to freedom and into a wall. Go Speedy Clack Clackity Claxton. After than Rob and Big decide that the turtle needs a rest.
