“Biggest Loser”: Episode 411 - Makeovers!

by

To catch up on what happened last week, read this post.

The photo shootThis week we have yet another two hour episode (yipee) and we’ll see how much weight the eliminated player has lost LIVE since being booted. Wee! Allison promises it’ll be good so I’ll take her word for it.

So remember last week’s cliffhanger (it’s okay, I forgot too)? We pick up where we left off, with Allison chatting up the remaining competitors. They’re getting a reward! Tomorrow. But tonight, she’s giving them a taste int he form of an envelope. Inside, is a photo of each of them before they went on the show. And yeah, the differences are alarming almost. These people have lost a LOT of weight. So that’s their only clue and as clues go, it sucks. So no one has a single clue. (Of course, then we as viewers are shown what is coming up and it’s Hollywood-style makeovers and surprise visits from loved ones. Okay. I believe Alison now. This is going to be good.

Jillian comes in the next day and tells Isabeau that she thinks voting out Amy was a mistake. She does worry she’ll regret what she did but at the same time, she knew Bryan was a better player and more deserving of being in the game. The rest of her team is a little sketchy about her now though. At the same time, he’s a better player and chances are, he’ll beat them above the yellow line. Bryan, meanwhile, surprises Kim by not being eliminated. It’s pretty cute. I don’t like Kim much, but I don’t want to see with out ANY team either. Jillian pushes her team in the gym and they try to get past what Isabeau did. Jillian is still smarting over it. She ignores Isabeau a bit during the training and Isabeau considers defecting to Bob. Oh geeze. NO. Oh and the reward! Hadn’t forgotten that, had we? The teams meet up with Alison at NBC studios. And they find her at the “Days of Our Lives” studios. HA! They get to eavesdrop on Alison rehearsing a scene with her co-star “Lucas”. So they are going to get their big time makeovers. They’re getting the head to toe treatments, followed by a professional photo shoot. And one of them will on the cover of “Prevention” magazine because of it.

They’re actually getting their makeovers done in the makeup department at “Days of Our Lives”, which is cool. They get to meet more stars of the show while they’re getting done up. I’m excited to see how everyone turns out. Everyone is looking just amazing. These are really some attractive people. Isabeau and Kae actually make me gasp. Bryan steps up to the mirror to see what he looks like in his new threads. He preens and we see his wife standing on the other side of the mirror. He has NO idea. It’s so fun! She is revealed at last and he is totally floored. Then he hugs her and it’s so so sweet. I love these reveals. I can’t wait to see more. We see Julie’s reveal next and her husband is completely astounded by his made-over wife. And of course, she starts crying. Don’t mess up the makeup! Aww! Jim’s loved one is his brother! Now, we know how much he lost ultimately and this is before then but he still looks good. Bill almost immediately starts crying. So does Jim. Aww, Jim! As I said, Isabeau looks fantastic. Her loved one is her boyfriend and again with the tears. It’s awesome. Hollie is looking fantastic, in her black dress and all doen up. She’s reunited with her best friend (who we saw last week) so I guess the surprise is not that big a deal. Neil comes to the mirror and is reunited with his wife who hasn’t seen him since he was over 400 pounds. Neil has done some crappy stuff, but it’s awesome seeing him with his girlfriend. And he has a cute, perky girlfriend, too! Nicole steps up to the mirror and she’s looking pretty good. She’s surprised by her mother and both of them just turn into puddles. Kae steps up last and she’s looking absolutely marvelous. Her husband waits for her and he’s so excited to see her. They both start crying the moment they see each other. Absolutely adorable. She remarks that this is the best day of her life. So sweet!

We return to the photoshoot and everyone hams it up in front of the camera. They all show off how much they’ve lost. Hollie is mentioned as being a “natural beauty” and I’d agree with that. They all got together for a group shot and for once they were united instead of against one another. After the shoot, they have a lovely lunch together (or is it dinner? What time is it??) and everyone gets to chat with their loved ones. Alison gets everyone’s attention to tell them dinner (dinner!) is over and it’s time to get back to work. Time to say goodbye!

Back at campus, everyone is back in their workout gear. They meet Alison for their challenge (oh yeah, one of those!). They have to literally stay above the yellow line. To do this, they need to climb ropes and the last person to stay above the line will win a $5000 shopping spree from “Prevention” magazine. That’ll be handy for purchasing a new and much needed wardrobe. It’s a tough challenge and a lot of people fall below the line early on. Kae and Bill fight for the win while everyone else falls out of the race. Ultimately, Kae wins! Finally, as Bill has been a challenge hog lately and she hasn’t won a challenge yet. She didn’t win just that, she also got her cover chosen by “Prevention” magazine and it’s on newsstands now.

Kim is desperate to keep Bryan above the yellow line. She doesn’t want to lose him (and her job) just yet. Bob (who we’ve barely seen this episode) pounds his team. He has Kae drag him across the floor (kid you not). Jillian is done ignoring Isabeau, so that’s good. We’ll see who falls by the wayside here. I hope the black team isn’t in trouble. If the red and blue teams are allied, they could be.

Neil is up at the scale first and this week he lost 8 pounds, a very decent loss. That’s a 2.57% loss. Isabeau is up next and Julie is worried for her. She lost 7 pounds and that’s a 2.90% loss. Bill hits the scale and he lost 6 pounds and has a total loss of 2.56%. Hollie goes up and after not losing anything last week, she lost 8 pounds which makes her very happy. That’s a 3.77% loss. Wow! Nicole is up next and she lost 4 pounds. Compared to everyone, that’s not fantastic. It’s a 1.80% loss. Julie also didn’t lose last week and is nervous. She lost 4 pounds as well, but she had less to lose so her percentage is 2.22%. Kae goes up next and she only lost 3 pounds. It’s not enough to keep her safe. It’s a 1.89% loss. She’s just above Nicole and unless Bryan lost precious little, Kae is in danger. Bryan goes up next and he’s worried because he didn’t lose much last week. This week he lost 6 pounds and that’s a 2.17% loss. More than enough to keep him safe. So it’s Nicole and Kae up for elimination. Everyone is surprised to see Kae below the yellow line.

Bob is devastated to learn two of his team members are up to be eliminated. He will lose someone, no matter what. The fates have been so kind to Kae tonight, her luck is bound to run out. Neil catches Jillian smirking and knows its because Kae will be gone and he’s PISSED about it. So he vows not to rest so he never has to see that smirk again. Good luck there!

Elimination is here and the teams are quiet as they gather in front of Alison. The votes go pretty much as expected and everyone but Neil votes out Kae. She was the obvious choice. Sad to see her go, she has been the “Biggest Loser” example this season. She goes out on a sad but positive note. Everyone wanted to make sure Kae knew she was respected and admired but seen as a threat and that’s why she was eliminated. Poor Kae.

We get to see her journey home after elimination, three months ago. Her family is so happy to see her, especially her mother. And it was wonderful to see her reunited with them all. They were all so obviously proud of her.

Now? We see her weigh in live. She looks AMAZING. I don’t think she could have lost any more weight. On or off the show. Alison is beside herself, gushing over her. Bob comes to meet her and he’s obviously ecstatic to see her. It’s so sweet. Geeze, and now I have tears in MY eyes. I just can’t get over her. She came in at 225 pounds and she is now 137. She lost 88 pounds which is is just AMAZING. That is more than 39% of her body weight. We’ll see her again in four weeks and see if she’s lost any MORE weight. Unbelievable.
