“Big Brother”: Okay, I get it now

by Marilyn Porter

Dick and JenThanks so much to Lessa from Big Brother Craze for explaining everything to me the other day.  I was feeling very confused with what was going on.  But now I think I get it and after last night, I understand even better.  And, as always, here are your recaps:

  • CBS.com’s full episode video
  • Television without Pity’s “weecap” (they’ve switched formats for the BB recaps)
  • TV Squads in depth recap
  • Big Brother Craze’s liveblog of the episode including a reveal of who won HoH, if you want to know!

And what were my impressions of the evening? First off, I was amused how Dick emptied his iced tea on Jen’s head after she and Daniele had their argument.  Dick has proven himself to be very protective of Daniele so this move by him didn’t surprise me in the least.  I would have been more surprised if he had done or said nothing after that exchange.

Also?  The shaving of the heads.  For whatever reason, Nick decided to get himself a full-on mohawk.  Ever the clown, Eric followed suit with a faux-hawk.  I like Eric’s look a lot better.  Besides, it suits him.

Amber and her constant crying.  I don’t think I’ve seen a single episode yet where she hasn’t been sobbing at some point.  This time it was because Nick was nominated.  But then, weirdly, she’s in the diary room sobbing that maybe Nick SHOULD leave because then maybe she’d cry less and she needs to stop crying so much.  Ya think??  Dear God, woman.  Pull yourself together!

So Nick was evicted.  Kail got two votes, one from the ever loyal Zack and the other from America’s Pawn, Eric.  Eric vows to get Kail and/or Jen OUT of the house once and for all, because he has gotten the message that America wants them GONE.  It must feel frustrating to have your own strategy discounted though.  He’s doing a good job though.

The HoH competition was endurance based where the houseguests had to hang upside down on pendulums and get sprayed with bird poop “foam”.  As we left the show, we didn’t know who ultimately won, but thanks to the beauty of livefeeds, Big Brother Craze has already published who won so if you want to know, definitely go check them out!
