“Big Brother”: Dustin’s Nominations

by Marilyn Porter

Dustin is HoHI’m back from my exciting excursion into the outside world.  I’m not entirely over the whole thing yet but it’s time to get back to posting the reality goodness.  I’m sorry I wasn’t around to post some recaps of Thursday night’s BB8 episode for you all, but hopefully you were able to get that information elsewhere.  And while I’m on the subject, here are some great recaps of last night’s nomination episode:

And what did I think? It was good, though I felt like I was jumping in mid-stream.  I really wish I hadn’t missed the show on Thursday night, it totally threw me off.  There was the “fight” between Dick and Amber about her dog.  She said she loved her dog as much as she loved her daughter and Dick was incredulous about this.  I’ve heard a lot of division on this issue.  I think Dick interpreted her to mean that she had the same feelings to the dog as she did to the child.  That they were 100% equal in her heart and mind.  And if that’s the case, then I agree with Dick.  I love my dogs.  Beetoe is my little princess and I would be extremely upset if something happened to her.   She is definitely a member of our family and anyone that tries to tell me elsewise would get an earful.  BUT, she’s not on the same plane as my children.  They are held far above her in my heart and mind and I think that’s how it should be.  Anyhow, enough of that.

There was also a food competition last night.  Basically, the houseguests have to reconstruct giant Humpty Dumpty’s and the winner is Jessica and Jameka. Besides being guaranteed real food for the week, they also get to select the houseguests who are to go on slop for the week.  They select (a little predictably) Dick, Zack, Kail, Nick and Jen.  Jen of course says she’s happy to be on slop because maybe she’ll eat less and lose some weight.  BARF.

The nominations come along and Dustin appears to agonize over the decision.  America has dictated that Eric campaign to get Jen nominated which he does with much fervor.  Nick is tossed around as a possibility.  And how about Zach?  All good ideas, but Dustin eventually settles on nominating Jen and Kail which I heartily agree with. One of them NEEDS to go home this week.  I doubt anyone will be stupid enough to “rescue” Kail this week, what do you think?

Next time on “Big Brother”:  Can we make Eric promote the catchphrase “Sweet Chicken?”  Time will tell!
