“Big Brother”: And now I’m confused

by Marilyn Porter

It might be helped if I had actually watched last night’s “Big Brother”.  Then, maybe, I might understand what’s going on.  But my husband wanted to watch a rented DVD instead and for some reason, the CBS full episode video isn’t working for me at the moment (I think my laptop might be rebelling).   What I’ve seen on the recap sites is nothing short of confusing, but let’s see if you can keep up anyhow, shall we??

I’m not entirely understanding the reasoning behind the nominations in the first place (Dustin wants to backdoor someone?  HUH?), not that I don’t enjoy them because I love seeing Jen and Kail on the block.  And this time Jen seems to be rather shaken by her nomination.  I’d feel sorry for her, but I don’t.  And that’s as far as I got in the video.  LOL!  Anyhow, it sounds like Eric fizzled his duties as America’s Player this time around (why didn’t ya’ll pick Sweet Chicken?) and the Veto competition was one of those weird ones where people can earn actual prizes and I still don’t exactly get it.  But apparently, Jameka won and she was actually going to use the veto.  And she used it on JEN.  Oh, thems fightin’ words.  But I think this was the plan all along?  Like I said, totally confused.  So who does Dustin put up instead?  NICK.  HA!  Daniele isn’t too happy about it, but she has to realize that to win this game you can’t have a personal relationship like that.  I think it was a pretty good move as Nick’s little soul patch thingie has been getting on my nerves.

So there you have it.  On Thursday, we shall see if Nick truly does go home and if this is a deal-breaker for Daniele and the rest of the “crew”.

Let’s see if I can help ya -

Nominations: the original plan was Jen and Kail, with Zach for a POV back door. Kail threw herself at them to be used at a pawn and they took her up on it, they didn’t want Zach or Nick to have a chance at POV, and Jen is the fourth person they are determined to get out before they turn on themselves.

Eric has five days to complete the Catch Phrase task, so we won’t see if he completed it until probably Sunday’s show - Thursday at the earliest. He got the task Sunday night, so has till Thursday night or Friday to complete it. He has to get 3 different house guests to say the phrase on five different days.

Now, the POV. Heh. This is where the feeds comes in handy, because it looks like Dick went off completely offcocked - which isn’t out of the range of possibility, but not exactly what happened. The night before the POV competition, they’d already picked players. Dustin gave the LNC a rousing “Play hard, 100% to get POV.” and speech and swore he’d do the same. Jameka had already told Jen that she felt God had her ball chosen by Jen for a reason and if she won she’d use it for Jen. This bothered more then just Dick, but Dick was the most vocal (SHOCK!). So THATS why folks were pissed at Dustin for taking the prizes, and putting himself in the position to where he’d have to get the last question - instead, Jen buzzed in and gave a completely stupid answer in order to dump the whole moral load on Jameka’s shoulders re: using the POV.

In a meeting before the Veto meeting, the LNC as a group decided who was the bigger threat, Zach or Nick - and everyone agreed strategically that Nick was the biggest threat, and they’d better take this chance while they had it, to oust him.

SO there ya have it - all the ins and outs. Hope that helps!
