3 New Reality Shows on ABC

by Rachelle Thomas

ABC debuted 3 new reality shows the week of June 23rd.
Wipeout which airs on Tuesdays at 8PM EST looks hysterical. 24 thrill seekers compete in the world’s largest extreme obstacle course specifically designed to provide the most wipeouts ever seen on television. Each week the contestants will go head to head in 4 rounds of unbelievably grueling and painful, yet hilariously funny obstacle courses in the hopes of winning the title of Wipeout Champion and $500,000. If you have seen the promos for this show then you know what I mean when I say it looks hysterical. If you are looking for a good laugh I definitely think you should check out Wipeout. I have this on my DVR to watch and will let you know what I think soon. However, if you have already watched it, let me know what you think.
I Survived A Japanese Game Show airs on Tuesdays at 10 PM EST. The show described as a reality/game shows takes a behind the scenes look at 10 Americans who are whisked away to Japan, only to find out they are there to compete on the ultimate Japanese game show. Some of the contestants have never traveled outside the US, which makes the results of this experiment even more hilarious. The winner will receive $250,000. After seeing the promos I can say it looks so so. I did not DVR it because in all honesty I don’t have high hopes for this show. But I could be wrong, it has been known to happen. If you watched it let me know what you thought.
Dancing Machine airs on Fridays at 8PM EST. You are invited to the biggest dance party of the summer, where ordinary people who are phenomenal dancers compete for a cash prize. Jsaon.jpgEach week 6 people from all walks of life will compete in a series of one-on-one dance offs. Contestants are eliminated throughout the night by the studio audience. The final 2 of the evening will battle it out for a $100,000 and title of Dance Machine. Jason Kennedy hosts the newest dance crazed reality competition. We all know I love dance shows, and this one is great. You have a 70 year old grandmother and a 25 year old grave digger in a dance off to Thriller, what more do I need to say.
There you have it 3 great new shows on ABC for you to check out this summer. If you missed any of these premieres you can watch full episodes at ABC.com.
