Dancing With the Stars Final 3

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Cheryl.jpgLast night Marissa Jaret and partner Tony Dovolani took their last spin around the ballroom. That means going into next week’s finals are Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas, Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska, and Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke. I was said to see Marissa and Tony go, I was rooting for them, event though I knew they would most likely not make it to the Final 3. Although I wish all 3 couples good luck, I will be keeping my fingers crossed that Cristian and Cheryl take home the Disco Ball on Tuesday. I know she has won with Drew and Emmitt but I really like her. Since my man Max didn’t dance this season Cheryl has become my favorite dancer. Although I must admit I have not been a faithful watcher this season. Two nights became a little too much for me to commit too. I know I am a bad fan.

Best of luck to all to 3 final couples next week.

The newest reality show for NBC is Celebrity Circus where celebrities will compete in some of the most dangerous and exciting circus acts ever. Viewer votes will determine which celebrities go home each week.

And The Final Rose Goes To…

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Shayne!! After sending Chelsea packing Bachelor Matt got down on one and proposed to Shayne a.ka Lorenzo Lamas’s daughter. Obviously she accepted. Although there was a proposal word is the couple is not rushing into marriage yet. Interesting statement, I feel like maybe I have heard it before after a Bachelor season finale. Anyway best of luck to Matt and Shayne

Survivor Shocker!

Monday, May 12th, 2008

survivor.thumbnail.jpgParvati Shallow beat out pal Amanda Kimmel to win the 1 million dollar prize and title of Sole Survivor in the season finale of Survivor: Mirconesia Fans vs. Favorites. Personally I was shocked, I thought Amanda had it in the bag. I mean Parvati pretty much initiated the blindsides where most of the jury members were voted out, so I figured there was no way she could win. However from a strategic standpoint Parvati played one heck of a game and apparently some of the jury members realized that too. To be quite honest I was not a huge fan of either of the final two women, but since I had to choose I was rooting for Amanda.

Parvati may have one the money, but Amanda walked away with Ozzy. Turns out the two are still going strong. $100,000 and Ozzy I’d be happy. Congratulations to both women on playing an extremely successful game of Survivor.

My Hills Issues

Monday, May 12th, 2008

the-hills.thumbnail.jpgYou know how people say “It’s so bad it’s good, that is how I feel about The Hills. Each week I religiously tune in to see what is happening with Lauren & Co, but I have to admit I am having some issues with this current season. Now let me start by saying I accept The Hills for what it is a “reality show or as I call it the unscripted, yet scripted drama posing as a reality show, and I love it. After watching last weeks episode I have to express a few gripes with the show.

First – what is the purpose of Lo? Personally I am not happy with Lo purposely coming between pals Lauren and Audrina, both of whom I think are awesome. Now I did not watch Season 1 of Laguran Beach so I know nothing about Lo, but I have to say I’m not a fan of hers at all. Can someone please tell me what Lo does besides mooch off her BF Lauren? Whitney, Audrina, Lauren, and even Heidi appear to have “real jobs, does Lo?

Speaking of Heidi and her “real job, how is it possible that a fashion/college student dropout moved her way up the Bolthouse corporate ladder so quickly? Anyone want to take a guess as to whether or not MTV has had anything to do with her quick success. I say yes, but hey I could be wrong maybe she really paid her dues and worked her way up from peon to very important project manager in what 2 years. Yeah that happens all the time, especially at entertainment companies.

And my last issue, for now at least, why is half the show made up of scene shots of LA. I counted and on last Mondays episode there was anywhere from 3 to 6 LA scenes shots between two scenes with actual people in them. Are the producers so desperate to fill time that they have to use filler scenes? I find that hard to believe. Hills producers please stop with the scene shots, I tune into see the drama not LA scenery.

All my gripes aside I do love The Hills, and I can’t wait for the season finale. Will Audrina move out? Will Spencer ruin Heidi’s career with his surprise Vegas visit? Guess we’ll find on tonight at 10PM EST on MTV.
