Finally Place 17 and excited!

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

topchef.jpgYes! I’m in place 17 out of 40 at the Watching Survivor Pool. It’s been just as much of a struggle as the contestants of Survivor Micronesia because I literally have to fight with my husband to watch the show.

By watching clips and checking out fellow Survivor fans sites I was able to figure out that Chet would not be voted off the island this week and would not be his teams demise.

Will I be able to beat out the other people I tied with and move my way into the top 5?

Favorites are really dominating the game on the island. I can’t believe that Mikey B was kicked off the island. Did Chet make a deal with the island Gods or something? If all you’re doing is hanging around then get off of the island.

Are you as excited as I am with the new shows that are soon to be crossing our television screen? The kitchen is going to be heating up with Top Chef: Chicago and Hell’s Kitchen 4.

Here’s last season’s Top Chef winner Hung Huynh teaching a few knives skills at New York Magazine. I swear if those knives was hitting metal things would be blowing up.

Speaking of things blowing, I can’t forget Hell’s Kitchen 4. I love to cook and even thought about a career in cooking but I don’t think I could deal with the head Chef screaming at me all the time.

Please don’t tell me that all kitchen’s are like this!

Nielson ratings this week

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

americanidol.jpgIn hopes to get into tune with what my readers are watching I decided to check out the Neilson ratings for reality television.

This week was all about the Acadamy Awards and that red carpet glamour. The Acadamy Awards raised itself to the #1 spot with 32,000 viewers.

The biggest hit so far is FOX. Fans of American Idol have put Fox in the lead at #2 and #3 this week.

Over 29,000 viewers watched contestants battle it out vocally on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

I’m not surprise that American Idol is in the top 2 with all the rumors and gossip that is being leaked. I wake up this morning to find that some little birdie has been squawking about American Idol David Hernandez.

The rumor is that David Hernandez quit his job as a scantily clad bartender and stripper in Glendale Arizona to be on the show. I tried to contact the hiring manager at Dick’s Cabaret, which seems to have only been open for two years.

The one thing that did surprise me is Survivor: Micronesia. This week they start at #12 and CBS is slowly trying to creep its way into the top ten spot. So far Survivor: Micronesia is fairing better than last seasons Survivor: China.

Survivor: China ended last season as #13 in the Neilson ratings. Will American Idol be at the top once again this season? Will Survivor: Micronesia raise above the rank of #12 and end the season in the top ten of television shows.

We’ll just have to watch and see…

Saint Lauren, Lord Fendi, D&G……

nikkitaylor.jpgI wonder what a pray to the gods of fashionista’s would be like? Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray Versace my gown to keep? Perry knows that he’s up for the cut and prays to the designer gods.

It must have worked because America votes Jackie off. Wow the girls just keep getting picked off one by one.

The models get to head out to this great resort and do an “Action fashion shoot. We find out that Perry isn’t the only one with an attitude.

Ben starts throwing nasty gay comments toward Casey but it’s really Ronnie’s feelings that get hurt.

This really makes me wonder if the bond between Ben and Ronnie is slowly fading. Ronnie has said some negative things about Ben on the catwalk and now Ben is throwing comments around. Was it my way of thinking or did Ben just seem to blow it off when Ronnie tried to have a heart to heart with him?

Out of all of this Shannon is the Supermodel of this weeks show. She looks absolutely amazing on the catwalk. Sure she had to stop dead to deal with the spinning catwalk but even through sickness she pulled it off.

Who do you think should be voted off? Should it be Frankie, Ben, or Casey? One think for sure is that I would not want to be a judge or model. Talk about stress, stress, and more stress.

I call him the angel but I honestly don’t think that Casey has the skin to be a model. Unless Casey is hiding some deep well of blessings from Buddha.

Another celebrity knocked out.

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

titoortiz.jpgIt looks like we have a few more weeks till we find out who the Celebrity Apprentice is and the celebrities are definitely taking risks.

If you remember Marilu Henner was fired last week for being over zealous about QVC’s products.

Though I have to admit that Carol Alt should have been called back into the boardroom with Marilu Henner.

How could someone who has worked with QVC for nearly six years not know about QVC EZ pay program?

Now the celebrities are working for Dial and Redbook to promote Dial Nourishing Yogurt Body Wash. Fans of Dial have already been using the hand wash in Vanilla Honey and Aloe Vera.

Hedra has chosen Carol Alt for their Project Manager. It also looks like Hedra plans to focus its campaign around the age demographics of Redbook.

Empresario has decided to go with the fact that Redbook has a lot of country music stars on their cover.

I have to admit that I like both Hedra’s and Empresario’s campaign ideas. Unfortunately Tito Ortiz allowed Hedra to look just a little more put together. The man may be a great UFC Fighter but he was knocked out in the boardroom during presentations. Tito couldn’t even say the product name in confidence.

So Piers Morgan is probably going to slam his head against the wall for one more week because it was Omarosa walking back in from the boardroom.

People are asking “Did Omarosa push Tito into being P.M? Do you think the Omarosa pretended to want to be Project Manager so that the other members would choose someone else?

I think Omarosa is out to prove herself any way that she can. If she has to put her neck out on the chopping block then she’s going to do it.
